Shakespeare Gordon Studio Architects, a women-owned architecture firm based in Brooklyn, is looking for a talented entry-level designer to support our team of architectural staff. We work on a variety of project types and scales, including single family homes, multi-family affordable housing, and educational institutions. Our clients include local government, nonprofit, and cultural organizations.

Responsibilities include:

• Physical model building
• Preparation of presentation materials, drawings in 2D and 3D
• Drafting support to project teams in Revit and Autocad
• Providing support to our Communications Coordinator preparing proposals and other marketing materials, as well as maintaining databases
• Assisting outside IT consultant in maintaining office computer systems
• Assist maintaining office library- physical literature, product samples, and digital materials
• Performing research to support project teams

Qualifications:

• College education in architecture or related design field
• Strong proficiency in recent versions of AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite
• Physical model building skills
• Interest in contemporary architecture and design culture

We offer a salary range of $55-$65,000 based on experience as well as a substantial benefits package. Benefits begin after a 60-day introductory period and include two weeks of paid vacation, paid holidays, plus time off between Christmas and New Year’s; medical insurance, and 401K with matching.

Applicants should be currently authorized to work in the USA for a minimum of one year, live in the New York metropolitan area, and available to start work shortly after an offer of employment. This position is 100% in-office.
